WoW Forever Warrior guide, levels 1 to 20: abilities, first talents and Legacy

Every race can be a Warrior; Best race for a Warrior compares their racials. A new Warrior already knows Battle Stance and Heroic Strike; your class trainer teaches every other ability in the level list, and each new rank, once you reach its level. Your first talent point comes at level 10, or earlier with the Legacy perk Talented.

What does each new ability do?
- Battle Stance: A balanced combat stance.
- Heroic Strike: A strong attack that increases melee damage by 11 and causes a high amount of threat.
- Battle Shout: The warrior shouts, increasing the melee attack power of all party members within 20 yards by 12. Lasts 3 minutes. Since the October 15 beta update it reaches your whole raid, not only your party.
- Shoot Bow, Shoot Crossbow and Shoot Gun: Shoot at your target with the bow, crossbow or gun you have equipped. Each comes with that weapon skill, not from the class trainer. High Order Skyborne and Windshaper Skyborne Warriors start with the Bows skill; every other Warrior has to learn Bows first.
- Throw: Hurl a thrown weapon at the target. It comes with the Thrown skill, which Troll, High Order Skyborne and Windshaper Skyborne Warriors start with.
- Charge: Charge an enemy, generate 9 Rage, and Stun it for 1 second. Cannot be used in combat.
- Rend: Wounds the target causing them to bleed for 15 damage over 9 seconds.
- Thunder Clap: Blasts nearby enemies, increasing the time between their attacks by 20% for 10 seconds and doing 10 damage to them. Will affect up to 4 targets.
- Hamstring: Maims the enemy, causing 5 damage and slowing the enemy's movement by 40% for 15 seconds.
- Bloodrage: Generates Rage at the cost of Health, then generates more Rage over time.
- Defensive Stance: A defensive combat stance. Decreases damage taken by 10% and damage caused by 10%. Increases all threat generated by 30%.
- Sunder Armor: Sunders the target's armor, reducing it by 90 per Sunder Armor and causes a high amount of threat. Can be applied up to 5 times. Lasts 30 seconds.
- Taunt: Taunts the target to attack you, but has no effect if the target is already attacking you.
- Overpower: Instantly overpower the enemy, causing weapon damage plus 5. Only useable after the target dodges. The Overpower cannot be blocked, dodged or parried.
- Shield Bash: Bashes the target with your shield for 6 damage. It also interrupts spellcasting and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for 6 seconds.
- Tactical Mastery: You retain up to 10 Rage when you change Stances.
- Demoralizing Shout: Reduces the melee attack power of all enemies within 10 yards by 63 for 45 seconds.
- Revenge: Instantly counterattack an enemy for 20 to 24 damage and a high amount of threat. Revenge must follow a block, dodge or parry.
- Mocking Blow: A mocking attack that causes 22 damage, a moderate amount of threat and forces the target to focus attacks on you for 6 seconds.
- Shield Block: Increases chance to block by 75% for 7 seconds, but will only block 2 attacks.
- Disarm: Disarm the enemy's weapon for 10 seconds.
- Retaliation: Instantly counterattack any enemy that strikes you in melee for 15 seconds. Melee attacks made from behind cannot be counterattacked. A maximum of 30 attacks will cause retaliation.
- Victory Rush: Attacks your target and heals you for part of your maximum Health. You can use it only for a short time after you kill an enemy that grants experience or honor.
- Cleave: A sweeping attack that does your weapon damage plus 5 to the target and a second nearby enemy.
- Slam: Slams the opponent, causing weapon damage plus 16.
- Dual Wield: Allows one-hand and off-hand weapons to be equipped in the off-hand.
Charge, Overpower, Mocking Blow and Retaliation work only in Battle Stance, and Taunt, Revenge, Shield Block and Disarm only in Defensive Stance. Rend, Thunder Clap and Shield Bash work in Battle Stance or Defensive Stance, and Hamstring works in Battle Stance or Berserker Stance, which comes at level 30. Shield Bash and Shield Block also need a shield. Every other ability here works in any stance.
