Ruins of Lordaeron

Beyond King's Alley, choose the side encounters before finishing with Rath'mael. Approach the market statue from Lordamere Overlook for The Abandoned's wave event. Viktor the Vile is optional: the chimney in the house southwest of the overlook starts the waves that bring the boss out, so recover health and mana before touching it. Clear nearby groups before engaging Bjork's central patrol rather than combining the fights.

Rath'mael

Elite Undead

Rath'mael is the necromancer sought by The Wrath of Rath'mael; the fight centers on limiting Flamestrike and avoiding its target area.

Abilities

  • Flamestrike

11 Fire damage dealt to all enemies in target area.

Flamestrike deals Fire damage in a target area. Move out of that area and use stuns to limit Rath'mael's opportunities to cast it.

Tank
Use a stun on Rath'mael if available to suppress Flamestrike casts; leave the target area when the fight requires repositioning.
Healer
Keep apart from the ranged group so a Flamestrike target area does not catch everyone together. Reposition out of it before healing players it hits.
Damage
Leave Flamestrike's target area rather than remaining together to finish casts. Use an available stun on Rath'mael to limit further Flamestrikes.
